Terms & Conditions

By using this website you understand and agree to the following terms;

  1. This website is recommended only as a guide to helping voters decide which political party to vote for in the 2010 UK General Election. For a complete reference please visit the official websites of the political parties - a list of which can be found here.
  2. The policy summaries that we display on this site are taken from documents that are publicly available online from each political party's official website, and in some cases supplied direct from representatives of the political parties themselves. Because of our minor editing process (see point 3 below) we cannot guarantee that our policy summaries reflect the intended meaning of the political parties.
  3. We have used only the main bullet points or key headings to cut down the amount of reading required to complete the survey. Where a political party offers more than eight policy points for a particular issue, we show only the first eight. In all cases, the policy points are displayed in the order in which they appear from the official website or document. All references to political party names are removed, and some editing is applied to cut down repetition and/or reduce reading time where we feel no loss of meaning can be incurred.
  4. We will update the website as political parties release their manifestos for the 2010 UK General Election. We will do out best to react as quickly as possible, however any delays will mean that the policy summaries could be out of date and so may not reflect the current intentions of the political parties. We request that all users check the official websites of any political party they are considering voting for before making a final decision.
  5. There are many more political parties than we have included in this website, so you may find that there are other political parties that have candidates in your area but who are not included here. Equally, some of the political parties included on this website may not have candidates in your voting constituency, in which case you will be unable to vote for them. For information on why please visit our FAQ page.
